Greywolf: Steppe Culture

June 7, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Man sitting on a throne

Greywolf shares his experience of the Steppe Culture of Asia, found throughout Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and what is now Russia. He will bring first-hand knowledge of thousand-year-old traditions, which are still practiced by many nomadic people living today.

Come and hear what it is like to live among horses, camels, and sheep, moving your house many times a year, and living off the land.

This program will be held in the Library’s First Floor Reading Room and is suitable for adults and families. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Sponsored by the University of Hawaii Outreach College Statewide Cultural Extension Program and the Hawaii State Public Library System.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
