Haunted Hawai‘i Stories with Jeff Gere

October 28, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Lava, volcano

Join us in the Bookmobile Garage for an evening of spooky Hawaiian tales!  Jeff Gere shares his creepiest true supernatural tales:  The Spirit Pohaku (stone) that comes alive to prevent a murder, The Samoan Teleasi (spirit people), the “sensitive” girl possessed, and tales of Pele.  These are the tales that he does not tell to children at night.  Come teens, but not alone!  This program is suggested for those 13 & up.

Sponsored by the Friends of Kāne‘ohe Library. This program is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
