A special poetry workshop led by the Hawai’i Poet Laureate, Brandy Nālani McDougall!
Join Brandy to explore the connection we feel to our āina, Hilo town and one another. We’ll review poetry that focuses on the āina and learn more about how you can use poetry to do the same.
To learn more about Brandy and her focus as our Poet Laureate, visit the Hawai’i Council for Humanities website: https://hihumanities.org/na-mana-wai-telling-our-own-stories/hawai’i-state-poet-laureate/
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library 7 days prior to the program date. We will make an attempt to fulfill any requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. Recommended for Adults and Teens.
