Come celebrate Hawaiian history, culture, and music with us! Join
Librarian Moki for a fascinating journey into Lā Kūʻokoʻa, the
Hawaiian Kingom’s Independence Day! Discover why the historic
holiday was so important and hear perspectives from kūpuna who
lived during the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Following this presentation, participants will learn and sing the
Kingdom of Hawaiʻi’s first National anthem, E ola ke aliʻi ke akua,
written by King Kamehameha VI (William Charles Lunalilo).

All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian. Registration is recommended due to limited space. To
