Please join the Kahuku Public and School Library as we screen multiple, beloved holiday film favorites on Tuesday, December 24th.
To get us started at 10am, we will screen THE POLAR EXPRESS (G), then move on to ELF (PG) at noon, and wrap up with IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (PG) at 2pm.
FIRST FILM: THE POLAR EXPRESS – Directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Warner Brothers Studios, this 2004 film is 100 minutes long and stars Tom Hanks, Nona Gaye, Peter Scolari, Leslie Zemeckis, Michael Jeter. “The Academy Award-winning team of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away) reunite for The Polar Express, an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. SECOND FILM: ELF – Directed by Jon Favreau and produced by New Line Cinema, this 2003 film is 97 minutes long and stars Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen. “After accidentally falling into Santa Claus’ gift sack, a human baby is raised at the North Pole, growing up to believe he is an elf. THIRD FILM: IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE – Directed by Frank Capra and produced by Paramount Pictures, this 1946 film is 130 minutes long and stars James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Thomas Mitchell, Henry Travers. “A banker learns what life would have been like without him in this holiday classic.” – from Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. website
