Introduction to Bee Keeping with Richard Spiegel

Join us for a talk by Richard Spiegel who will introduce basic methods and tools for organic backyard beekeeping. Richard will explain basic techniques for beekeeping on the Big Island and recommend different options for backyard beekeeping and how to meet challenges in different climates.

Participants will be able to try on a bee suit and handle equipment used to keep bees. Please bring questions! Richard will also give a brief summary of his beginning beekeeping class taking place this June and July over four different weekends.
