Please join us for our next book club meeting on Friday, September 14, when we will be discussing the science fiction novel The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut.

Featured on PBS’s The Great American Read, The Sirens of Titan is an outrageous romp through space, time and morality.  In this novel, Malachi Constant, the richest, most depraved man on Earth is offered a chance to take a space journey to distant worlds with a beautiful woman by his side.  Of course there’s a catch to the invitation and a prophetic vision about the purpose of human life that only Vonnegut has the courage to tell.

This title is currently available in print format through the Hawaii State Public Library System.

Our monthly book club meets in the Kaimuki Library Meeting Room on the ground level of the library.  Join us on Friday, October 19 when we will meet to discuss The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, which is available in print, audiobook, ebook and e-audiobook formats.

Program schedule is subject to change.  Contact the library at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
