KE KUPU ANA O KA HULA:
LEGACY, LINEAGE AND THE CARETAKERS OF HULA
KE KUPU ANA O KA HULA: LEGACY, LINEAGE, AND THE CARETAKERS OF HULA focuses
on the growth process of life. The imagery of the growth of a plant, from seed to bud to flowering
and full maturation is compared to that of the keepers of the traditional art form of hula.
Join us on Monday, August 5th @6pm at Pearl City Public Library for a talk story with Kumu Hula
Leialoha Lim Amina and Hālau Nā Lei O Kaholukū.
The evening talk story will feature demonstrations and discussions from respected kumu hula as
they perform the hula pahu, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Lehua Kawaikapuokalani.
