Ke Kupu Ana O Ka Hula: Legacy, Lineage and the Caretakers of Hula

Join us for a talk story with Kumu Hula Sonny Ching, Kumu Hula Lopaka Igarta-De Vera and Hālau Nā Mamo O Pu’uanahulu.

The evening talk story will feature demonstrations and discussions from respected kumu hula as they perform the hula pahu, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Lehua Kawaikapuokalani.

Presented in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Dance Festival by the University of Hawai‛i Statewide Cultural Outreach Program in collaboration with the Hawaii State Public Library System – Kapolei Public Library.
