In this 60 minute program, owners and Therapy Dogs from K9 TheraPets of Hawaii will be visiting the Aiea Public Library. For the first 30 minutes, owners will introduce children and families to safe interactions with dogs. The remaining 30 minutes will be for meeting and interacting with the Therapy Dogs and practicing positive interactions.
Some of the topics will include:
- How to meet a dog that you don’t know
- How to walk near a dog
- How to pet a dog
- How to avoid getting bitten
- Things to know for general interactions with dogs
This program is intended for children 3 years old and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
