Sensei Bill Doi and his fellow aikidoka (students of Aikido) will demonstrate simple exercises to use in the event of a fall. Learn the falling techniques used in Aikido to prevent traumatic injury to the brain, body, and/or death.
Kupuna Aikido is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers fall prevention classes to active seniors in the Liliha and Kaneohe area. According to their website, their mission is: “to empower Hawaiʻi’s kūpuna with Aikido-based philosophies to preserve and protect their mobile independence.”
