An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until July 10, 2025

Our Summer Reading Challenge theme this year is E Heluhelu Kākou: Mele in`Ōlelo Hawai`i, or Let’s Read: song, anthem, or chant.
Libraries are of course all about reading, and reading music is another way to interpret written symbols. Written music is a way to represent sounds and silence over time.
Our hope is that each person who attends all or most sessions will come away with the ability to read and understand the basics of muscial notation.
Classes will be held most Thursday afternoons in the month of June and the first two weeks of July. Class size is limited to 10 participants age 5 and up.
Please call us at 808-939-2442 for more information and to sign up!
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
