Remember when tales of fantastic beasts, wizards and gremlins with even more fantastic powers beguiled you, when heroes and fearless queens, chariots and storms came to the rescue?
Dawn Kawahara, founder and facilitator of the Live Poets Society, is planning an event to take us back to the days when legends of heroes and heroines, gods and goddesses, heroic quests throughout the world’s cultures, fired our imagination–pre-Disney. Kawahara invites each person who attends to be thinking of a personal favorite myth or legend, and perhaps revisit the tale. All ages are welcome.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
