Mask Making and Papercraft

October 11, 2017 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

people wearing head-covering masks like elephany, dog, moose, and bull

Teens 13-17 are invited to explore the art of masks and papercraft this October. Teens will be building masks from recycled cardboard using a variety of patterns, provided by the London-based artist Steve Wintercroft.  Teens can create a fox, jaguar, raven, bird, or demon mask.  The masks are simple to build but do require some accuracy with cutting and folding.  All materials will be provided.   The workshops are free, but donations of empty cereal boxes for mask-building are appreciated. Special thanks to Steve Wintercroft for giving us permission to use his designs for this workshop.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
