Masks with Yukie Shiroma

Yukie Shiroma

Mask Making:  Workshop attendess will learn to create a three-dimensional mask using paper and glue.  Each participant will complete a mask that they can take home to hang on their wall, wear to a party, or bring to Mask Play workshop to learn how to animate!  All supplies will be provided.  Program runs for about an hour.  Please call Kahului Library at 873-3097 to reserve your seat(s), maximum people is 20 from 3rd grade to adult.

Yukie Shiroma has a MFA degree in dance from UH of Manoa.  She has performed and taught dance and mask work nationally and internationally for over 20 years as Artistic Director of Monkey Waterfall.  In 2006, she received an Individual Artist Fellowship Award from the Hawaii State Foundation on Cultural and the Arts.
