Get ready for fun this holiday season at the Mountain View Public & School Library! The challenge? Just visit the library and use the tickets in your ticket booklet for a chance to win prizes!

Ticket booklets are available only at the Mountain View Library beginning December 15. The Winter Library Challenge runs from December 17th through January 7th. The challenge is FREE to enter and open to all ages. For more details, call or stop by the Mountain View Library!

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Statehood Day, all public libraries will be closed on Friday, August 21, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of General Election Day, all public libraries will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Veterans Day, all public libraries will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Thanksgiving Day, all public libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Christmas Day, all public libraries will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2026.

ALERT | 8/14/2026 - Three public libraries on Hawai‘i Island (Hilo, Kailua-Kona and Thelma Parker) will be closed on Saturday, August 15, 2026 due to the anticipated storm system. Additionally, three Maui branches (Kahului, Kihei and Makawao) will be closed on Saturday, August 15, 2026 due to the stormy weather. All programs on Hawaii Island and Maui are canceled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.  Check our website for updates and please be safe!
