Music Concert with John Keawe

North Kohala Public Library welcomes Kohala’s very own, John Keawe, for a special concert on April 18 at 3:00 pm. The Grammy and multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award winning slack-key (Kī Hōʻalu) guitarist, composer and recording artist will play music that is infused with the spirit of Aloha and is reflective of many elements personal to him. John has recorded several albums, bringing Hawaiian slack-key into the homes of people from around the world.

This free program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
