BLACK HISTORY SERIES – Musician/Artist John Henry Nichols

February 4, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

John Nichols

Please join us at Kahuku Library, as we feature internationally acclaimed artist and musician John Henry Nichols, a local resident of Ko’olauloa.

He will share stories from his “50 years of jazz life, wide travels, inspirations from meeting” music legends such as, “Sonny Rollins, Dianna Krall, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughn, and Oscar Peterson”. John Henry Nichols will also discuss his artwork which he defines as “visual jazz images” that range from “oil on canvas, watercolor on paper, etchings on paper, woodblock on paper, and sculptures”.

Well-travelled, highly educated, and talented, John Henry Nichols is yet another example of a living treasure on the North Shore. This presentation is part of the ongoing Black History in Hawaii Series.

Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library Kahuku.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
