National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) & Department of Water(DOW)
Native Plant Presentation & Giveaway
Native Hawaiian plants are foundational to Hawaiʻi’s ecosystems and intrinsic to Hawaiian culture. Perfectly adapted to Hawaiʻi’s climate and soils, they’re a great choice for waterwise landscaping. When you grow native plants, you grow aloha for ‘āina. In addition to learning about these special plants, each attendee will go home with a native plant.
In honor of Smart Irrigration Month, Department of Water (DOW) will be present for a grand prize drawing for a WaterSense irrigation controller (valued at $140) and three hose nozzles. July is Smart Irrigation Month, an awareness campaign to promote water-saving products, practices and services.
