Join us for an insightful session with “Dr. Ash” as he explores the complexities of late-stage Alzheimer’s Disease. This important discussion will cover critical aspects of end-of-life care, including challenges such as loss of swallowing, pneumonia, skin issues, nutrition, continence, foot care, blood pressure management, and the risks associated with falls. Dr. Kannan will also highlight the benefits of palliative care and hospice, offering guidance on when to introduce these options. Additionally, he will provide an overview of caregiving strategies and the expected transitions in care. Although this is a challenging topic, we aim to deepen our understanding and enhance our preparedness for the final stages of the dementia journey.
