NEBULA JARS

June 25, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

| Free
Nebula in a jar

nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. Some nebulae (more than one nebula) come from the gas and dust thrown out by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova. Other nebulae are regions where new stars are beginning to form. For this reason, some nebulae are called “star nurseries.” (found on NASA’s interactive website https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/nebula/en/)

Make a your own NEBULA JAR with common household items such as recycled jars, paint or food coloring, cotton, water, glitter, and skewers.

Like snow globes, these NEBULA JAR are a fun craft to admire AND inspire curiosity about our galaxy.

Supplies generously provided by the Friends of the Library Kahuku.

Register online, supplies limited.
