Award-winning author of the Calculated series, Nova McBee, and two local authors will discuss what goes on in an author’s life, their secrets to storytelling, and what inspired Nova’s young adult series that caught the attention of movie producers.
Nova McBee is the author of the Calculated series, a young adult fiction series now currently in development to become a major motion franchise, with One Door Studios and Emmy Award-winning screenwriter, Ann Peacock, best known for The Chronicles of Narnia, to adapt the novel for screen. A Seattle native, Nova has lived nearly half her life in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. When she is not writing, she thrives on complex plots, deep conversation, ends of the earth adventures, and spending time with her family and friends.
This event is suitable for teens and adults. Print and digital copies of Nova’s Calculated series are available for checkout with HSPLS. Light refreshments will be provided while supplies last. Mahalo nui to the Friends of the Libraries, Kona (F.O.L.K.) for sponsoring this event!
