Moon Phases

In celebration of Observe the Moon Night, Kapolei Public Library presents Observe the Moon Month.

Children in grades K to 6th are encouraged to observe the moon for a month and record their nightly observations on NASA’s Moon Observation Log and Journal.  Just by recording (coloring in moon phases) what they observe and completing a simple journal, participants will be eligible to earn a Plush Rocket Ship!  While supplies last.

Parents and older siblings are encouraged to assist young children with their journals.

For more information and to pick up the Observation Log/Journal packets, please see our staff at the Children’s Reference Desk.

Deadlines:  October 29 – Last day to pick up packets.  November 28 – Last day to submit the Observation Log to claim a rocket.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library Kapolei.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By visiting and/or participating in library programming, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Please help keep each other healthy.
