Origami in Motion

Yasu Ishida origami

Join magician & storyteller Yasu Ishida on a magical journey of origami, a paper folding art! Learn how to make amusing action origami which animates to fly, flip, jump and snap. This hands-on workshop focuses on folding 3-4 action origami designs, such as traditional flapping bird, flying bat, and even wiggling dinosaur. This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 9 and older. Program size is limited. RSVP required. Register below or contact the Library.

This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.
