Poetry Reading by Leanna Day

September 10, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Poet Leanna Day

Leanna Day’s poetry has been called “a raw work of art, capturing the complexities of the female experience.” Immerse yourself in her evocative words as she reads selected pieces from her debut collection When the Moon Rises. We’ll have a live poetry reading, Q&A session, book signing, and light refreshments.

Leanna Day is a Panamanian-American author based on Oahu. She also teaches yoga and barre at Breathe Yoga & Barre and Power Yoga Hawai‘i. Leanna is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Poetry at Southern New Hampshire University. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, snuggling her dogs, and eating cookies.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events at librarieshawaii.org/events.
