August 24, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:00 am

American Sign Language ASL

Posted: August 22, 2018

In advance of potential impacts from Hurricane Lane, this program has been cancelled. We encourage everyone to be safe. Mahalo!

Loretta Finegan-Nelson is a Deaf Educator who loves children and promoting literacy.  ASL Storytime will provide an opportunity for deaf and hearing children and their families to come together and celebrate American Sign Language and English in a new fun way.  Learn ASL vocabulary connected to the children’s book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See, by Bill Martin Jr.  Afterwards children will create a craft related to the book.  All young children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
