Join the Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center and Kendra Wong, founder of Aunty Kendra’s, for an interactive presentation about local food entrepreneurship, product development, and the stories behind the foods we love.

Kendra will share the story behind Aunty Kendra’s signature li hing mui sauce, a pourable, mess-free take on a nostalgic Hawaiʻi flavor, and her experience starting the brand and as a small business owner. Kailua residents may recognize Aunty Kendra’s from the nearby Lōkahi Kailua Market on Sundays.

This family-friendly session will invite audience participation and conversation about food memories, local flavors, and what it takes to bring a food product to market, and how the WVAPDC helps local entrepreneurs navigate these steps as they start and grow their food businesses.

Program is suitable for older. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Program is funded and sponsored by the Friends of Kailua Public Library.
