Want to get better at reading?  Are you an animal lover?  Why not practice your reading skills by reading aloud to Nugget, a therapy dog from Pet Partners, a national organization that has helped to evaluate and support therapy animal teams since 1977.  This is a great opportunity for beginning readers to practice their reading skills with a totally non-judgmental listener.

This program is open to people of all ages.  Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver.  As spaces are limited, registration is required as it will be based on a first come first served basis on the day of the program. Call (808)733-8422 or stop by the library to sign up for the program.  On the day of the program a sign up sheet for 5-10 minutes will be made available prior to the start of the program at the Adult Reference Desk.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
