Come and enjoy reading to a therapy dog at the library! This program in collaboration with volunteers from K9 TheraPets is designed to give keiki a chance to enjoy reading aloud without pressure and judgement. If you are looking for a comfortable setting to practice your reading fluency, reading comprehension, or comfort with canines in general, this event is for you! Open to children of all ages. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is preferred. Please sign up for a session at the Reference Desk prior to the program. Participation is guaranteed to the first 10 registrants. Walk-ins welcome as time permits.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
