Shipwrecks & Seafaring Stories of Hawaii’s Past

Join us for a talk by retired NOAA scientist and marine archaeologist Hans van Tilburg! Shipwrecks and Seafaring Stories introduces the field of maritime archaeology and tells some of the stories of Hawaii’s fascinating history through the lens of local shipwreck surveys and underwater exploration.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedule is subject to change.
