Skikata Ga Nai: film screening and meet the cast and crew

October 5, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Film poster showing two young soldiers and two elderly veterans

Inspired by the true life tendencies of many 442 veterans who have never shared their war experiences with family, this film shines a light on the interior battles that these aging heroes have had to face on their own.  Written and directed by Eric Nemoto and edited by Denny Hironaga, the film stars Dann Seki, Denise Aiko Chinen, Devon Nekoba, Seth Okumura, and Allan Okubo.  Some of the cast and crew will be available for a q&a after the film showing.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
