Smartphone Basics

Attend a free 2.5-hour session on how to use a smartphone. Participants will learn:

  • Adjusting key settings: display, sound, notifications, & accessibility
  •  Making calls, sending texts, and connecting to Wi-Fi or mobile data
  • Downloading and using Zoom for Telehealth & video conferencing
  • Taking & managing photos using your phone’s camera
  • Safe practices: online security, banking, & password management
  • For iPhone & Android users

Participants are encouraged to bring their own smartphone or tablet device.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
