SNAP Application Assistance

Front of Makawao Library Every Wednesday 1:30-4:30 PM, except holidays

Get direct help with program questions, application submission, renewal assistance, application follow-up, Kokua Card assistance, document guidance for the SNAP program.

SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program which helps families struggling in today’s economy to afford healthy food from local markets & grocery stores. SNAP benefits can even be used to purchase food bearing seeds and plants.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
