Social Security 101

Joanna Amberger of AARP’s branch office in Honolulu, Hawaii, will present Social Security basics. The presentation content will include what Social Security is, eligibility for benefits, retirement status (early, full, and delayed), disadvantages of claiming benefits early, and boosting benefits by delaying retirement.

Free. Recommended for all interested adults, especially seniors and working individuals considering retirement. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
