Special Lecture – Pahoa Living Library

July 29, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

A map of Pahoa Town from the early part of the 20th Century.

To close our Summer Reading Program, E Heluhelu Kākou: Moʻolelo, we are offering you the chance to come and listen to and talk story with members of the Pahoa community who have lived here all their lives. Re-live the old days when Pahoa Town and our guest speakers were small, and the changes that made us what we are today.

Program is suitable for age 12 and up. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
