“Libraries Rock!” is the theme of the 2018 Summer Reading Program and the Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library has planned a rockin’ musically-themed, family friendly kick-off event. Attendees will enjoy a variety of games and activity stations, including Musical Chairs (with a twist), Sponge Bomb Toss, and up-cycled instrument making, followed by the formation of a marching band that will parade in and out of the library!
The 2018 Summer Reading Program is offered at all 51 public libraries statewide and runs from June 2 through July 14. The program is designed for all readers, from keiki to kupuna. To register and log reading minutes from June 2, visit www.librarieshawaii.org or visit any of the 51 public libraries statewide.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
