Join us for a special musical storytime inspired by Carnival of the Nearly Extinct Animals, a one-of-a-kind performance coming to the Waianae Public Library on September 9, 2026 at 3:00pm.

Two musicians from the Hawai’i Symphony will share a short musical performance inspired by endangered animals. Afterwards, enjoy a read-aloud of the book Under the ʻŌhiʻa Tree by Erzsi Palko, a joyful exploration of the precious and wondrous ecosystem of Hawai’i’s native forests.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedule is subject to change.
