Story Circle Art Display – Kanehunamoku: The Hidden Land of Kane

February 12, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

painting of rock wall

For many years, artist Dawn Yoshimura and photographer Jan Becket unbeknown to each other, visited the Waiʻanae coast from Kepuhi Point to Kaʻena Point each seeking to help preserve the wahipana of their home. This exhibit contains their reflections on this area.

Story Circle welcomes Kumu Glen Kila and Christophor Oliviera, Executive Director of Koa Ike Foundation and artist Dawn Yoshimura as they share about their process, projects, and their hopes for Wai’anae. We also encourage families to come and share their mo’olelo about these sites and their home.

Gallery Walk at 5:00pm/Discussion at 6:00pm
