Succulent Care

May 20, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Succulent

Succulent cultivator, Perla Alvarez, will talk about different species of succulent and how to grow and care for them. This introductory talk will explain the basic ideals behind succulent cultivation. These “unthirsty” plants can be easy to care for with a little know how.

Succulents are a great addition to a xeriscape garden as they don’t need much water, they are a beautiful commitment to water conservation in the islands. Participants may be eligible to get one of five free keiki plant giveaways to take with you! If you aren’t a winner, Perla will be bringing some of her greenhouse, and plants will be on sale at the close of the program.*

Sponsored by the Friends of the Aiea Public Library.  *A portion of the sales will go to the Aiea Public Library.  If a sign language interpreter or other accommodations are needed, please contact the library at 483-7333 at least 10 days prior to the event.
