An exhibition of Sumi-e artwork by students of local instructor and artist Hisae Shouse. In the Japanese art of Sumi-e, artists use simple materials, such as black ink and water, to express the essence of a subject with a variety of tones and dynamic brush strokes. The exhibit will be available for viewing from October 9 to 27, 2017 in the First Floor Reading Room during regular library hours.
