Summer STARS Program for High School girls

April 9, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Glow in the dark stars

Learn all about the Summer STARS Program for Hawaii high school girls with Kyla Defore, Geologist at the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration systems (PISCES).  STARS is a free workshop held each summer to inspire young women to pursue careers in STEM, meet and be inspired by women who are passionate about their work, get behind-the-scenes at Hawaii’s premier research facilities, and make new friends.  Kyla is a UHH geology graduate who is studying how Hawaii’s basalt can help future explorers live on the Moon and Mars.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
