An event every month that begins at 11:00 am on day Third of the month, repeating until November 15, 2025

Share. Observe. Learn. Connect.
These are the foundations of building Pilina—the deep bonds of relationship and connection that strengthen our community.
Join us every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Kahului Library for a special opportunity to explore Hawaiian culture and history. Each gathering features an interactive talk story session guided by Kumu Kamuela Rodrigues, where participants can:
Hear traditional and contemporary stories of Hawaiʻi
Learn cultural practices, values, and perspectives
Share your own experiences and reflections
Connect with others in a welcoming, community-centered space
Whether you come to listen, learn, or share, you’ll be part of an ongoing journey of discovery and connection.
Come, listen, and share stories with us!
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events at librarieshawaii.org/events
