Would you like to share memories of growing up in historic Kaimukī town and be able to pass on that knowledge of history to others in the community?  Well look no further, the staff at Kaimukī Public Library will be conducting interviews with community members to create an oral history of the Kaimukī area.

I ka ʻōlelo nō ke ola, i ka ʻōlelo nō ka make.  Our words are powerful, what we do with it can cause life or the opposite.  Therefore, by sharing your ʻike or knowledge, you will be providing insight into the past and how life in Kaimukī was for the benefit of future generations.

Due to time constraints, we will need to restrict the responses to 5-10 minutes per person.   Please keep in mind that interviews will be conducted during our library hours.  The culmination of the oral history interviews will become a primary resource held at the library and will be shown during Kaimukī Public Library’s Anniversary Celebration in June.  Cut off date for this program will be the ending of May.
