Teens ages 13+ and their family members are invited to attend a fair to learn about volunteer opportunities during the summer and throughout the year. Stop by the Mililani Public Library program room between 4:30-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 to chat with representatives from the community organizations below (you do not need to stay for the entire duration of the fair):
Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaiʻi Youth Council, Hawaiʻi State Parks, Hawaiian Humane Society, Mililani Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, Mothers Against Drunk Driving Hawaiʻi, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, The Queen’s Medical Center West O’ahu, and YMCA of Honolulu – Mililani Branch.
Registration is recommended, as space is limited. RSVP through the online form below or by calling Mililani Public Library at 808-627-7470. Walk-ins may be admitted if space is available.
Celebrate National Volunteer Month by learning about teen volunteer opportunities and start making plans for your summer and beyond. Volunteering is a great way to hone valuable skills for future career or college paths while giving back to your community. Most of these opportunities are for those who will be 14 or older by the time of volunteering. However, younger students and family members are also welcome to attend.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
All programs are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
