Enjoy traditional fables from Japan and Okinawa that teach important lessons of persistence, respect and kindness. The audience will experience music, language and traditions from these cultures. This free 30-minute interactive performance is suitable for children ages 3+, along with their families. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

This Honolulu Theatre for Youth (HTY) production is funded through grants from the Friends of the Library of Hawaii, Hawaii State Department of Health’s Healthy Hawaii Initiative, Kaiser Permanente, Sidney Stern Memorial Trust, and the Samuel N. & Mary Castle Foundation.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
