The Day After – a film about what could happen after a nuclear war

This classic feature film was made for television and watched by over 100 million Americans on its initial broadcast in 1983. It offers a realistic look at the aftermath of a fictional nuclear war on the physical, health and social infrastructures of a community in central Kansas. There will be time for a short discussion after the showing.

This film has not been rated.  The program is free and open to the public, and is co-sponsored by Maui Peace Action and Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance Committee.
