The Hawaiian Room-Film Screening and Talk Story Event

Enjoy a free film screening of “The Hawaiian Room” by Filmmaker Ann Marie Kirk.  The Hawaiian Room opened its doors at the Lexington Hotel in New York City, Manhattan featuring talented young people from the islands who shared hula, song, and the spirit of Hawaii.

After the screening, there will be a talk story and Q&A with the former Hawaiian Room performers:  TeMoana Makolo, Leonani Akau Hagen, Leialoha Kaleikini and Torea Costa.  Lastly see a live hula performance from “back in the day!”
