Join Hawaiʻi Island puppeteer Bonnie Kim as she brings Tūtū’s Garden to life through enchanting stories and puppetry. Inspired by our Summer Reading Challenge theme, ʻUmeke Kāʻeo, this interactive performance celebrates Hawaiian food traditions, abundance, and the joy of sharing what the land provides. Suitable for ages 6+.
Bonnie Kim is a Hawaiʻi Island-based multidisciplinary artist, puppeteer, and teaching artist with an MFA in Theatre from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Her innovative puppet performances have been presented across Hawaiʻi, the continental United States, Europe, and Asia.
This one-hour event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i and is a production of the University of Hawai‘i’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program.
