Established in 1943 as Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet Band (Unit Band 56), the U.S. Pacific Fleet band operates from Joint Base pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. The band is comprised of 43 enlisted Navy musicians and two Limited Duty Officers.

The mission of the band is to provide musical services in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Pacific Fleet’s mission by performing official functions, community relations, morale and retention programs, and recruiting initiatives onboard ships, military bases, and various countries throughout its area of responsibility which encompasses 36 countries, from the West Coast of the Mainland United States to the western border of India; from the North Pole to Antarctica. It’s an area that covers 100 million square miles and over half of the world’s population!
