Lokelani Pila, a Wai‘anae resident will be our instructor. She has decades of experience singing Hawaiian hula songs and local island songs played on the ukulele. Since a very young age, her passion was to play the ukulele with her hula halau in Hanapepe, Kauai. Since 2018, she has taught a beginners ukulele class at Ko’olina Beach Villas. Lokelani Pila is inspired to share the joy of playing the ukulele in a four-week series here at the Wai‘anae Public Library on Saturdays in June at 1:00.
This is lesson two in the series so plan to attend the first lesson and each week see your progress as you learn and practice! These lessons are for ages 8 to 88!
Bring your ukulele with you. If you need one, you can checkout one from any public library with your library card.
Call the library with your questions or to save your seat.
